About Me
I’m a retired business professor who’s still very much in “what’s next?” mode. Curious by nature, I’ve spent my life learning, building, exploring—and I’m not done yet.
Music, fast cars, scuba diving, sailing, astronomy, photography, travel, science, nature… I tend to dive deeply into whatever catches my interest. These days that also includes meditation, health, and trying to live a thoughtful, intentional life. I’m just as happy exploring a tide pool as I am cooking a great meal or heading out on a new adventure.

I’m analytical and grounded, but not rigid. I value reason, curiosity, and open-minded conversation. I lean socially liberal and appreciate thoughtful perspectives, even when we don’t agree.
I’m not religious, but I do have a strong sense of reflection and mindfulness (daily meditation, occasional retreats). I’d describe myself as a humanist guided by evidence, compassion, and a desire to live well.
Health matters to me. I stay active (walking, weights, yoga) and try to take care of myself—especially after a close call with colon cancer that reinforced not taking life for granted.
What I’m Looking For
Someone smart, curious, and open-minded—with a sense of humor and a bit of an adventurous streak. You don’t need to share all my interests, but you should enjoy learning, exploring, and occasionally stepping outside your comfort zone.
It would be great to find a partner for:
Travel (U.S. and international—there’s still a list!)
Outdoor experiences

Everyday life that’s anything but routine
Being somewhere in the Midwest (MO/KS/AR/OK) is a plus, though I’m flexible for the right connection. Independence, emotional maturity, and having your life generally in order are important.
